Overview
My name is Richy Brooks and Magus Productions is the brand name I use for my creative projects. Currently, it's a home recording studio, although I have played with video production and photography in the past (see my skydiving videos). My home studio is located where I live on a 40 acre remote off the grid mountain retreat in Wollemi National Park, NSW, Australia. The music and recording room is a traditional Mongolian Ger, and on the property, we have a performance stage, and live music production equipment to conduct live music performances when having a party or just for fun.
I am primarily a rock drummer, but have some guitar and harmonica skills, and am working on recording projects where I play all the instruments and produce the music myself. I'm currently playing in a classic rock covers band, and collaborate on recording projects with other musician/producers as well.
I played in bands from a young age until sidetracking into the skydiving world for 25 years. I was a specialist camera flyer and an Australian team member as a videographer and was part of the first generation of Australian freeflyers. I produced several videos in the late 1990's showcasing freeflying to the Australian skydiving community.
Recently, my interest in physics has led me into astronomy which has resulted in experimenting with planetary imaging.
